This professional development unit is designed to help Registered Behavior Technicians increase active engagement during ABA sessions. The training focuses on helping RBTs move beyond simply being present with the client and toward intentionally creating learning opportunities throughout the session.

Participants will learn how to reduce downtime, use common materials creatively, embed client goals into preferred activities, stretch activities by including set-up and clean-up routines, and rotate between RBT-selected and client-selected activities. The unit emphasizes that active engagement does not always require expensive materials or highly structured table work. RBTs can create meaningful teaching opportunities using simple items such as paper, pencils, toys, household materials, technology, outdoor play, and naturally occurring routines.

Participants will practice looking at client programs and identifying how those targets can be contrived within common session activities such as cars, bubbles, videos, snack, homework, exercise, pretend play, board games, and clean-up routines.

We are a non-public agency who has provided applied behavior analytic services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the home, school, and community setting since 2004.
