Registered Behavior Technicians frequently work in close, ongoing contact with clients and families across home, school, and community environments. While strong therapeutic relationships are essential, they can also increase the risk of developing multiple relationships that may impact objectivity, treatment integrity, and client welfare.

This training provides RBTs with a clear, practical understanding of multiple relationships, why they create ethical risk, and how they commonly occur in real service settings. Participants will learn to identify early warning signs, evaluate boundary situations using a structured decision-making framework, and apply professional response strategies when faced with common requests such as babysitting, gift acceptance, social media contact, and dual-role expectations.

Through real-world scenarios and applied practice examples, RBTs will build confidence in maintaining professional boundaries while preserving rapport and therapeutic effectiveness. This course emphasizes prevention, early communication with supervisors, and ethical decision-making that protects clients, families, and practitioners.
