A practical, ethics-centered session on serving clients who are openly autistic and trauma-aware. Review trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming practices; align care with the BACB Ethics Code; and balance inclusion, dignity, assent, and safety.

Learning Objectives

Define trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming care and map each to relevant BACB Ethics Code standards.
Use inclusive language and environmental accommodations that reduce stigma and improve access.
Document ethical rationales, safeguards, and decision points in plain language for teams and families.
