CEU event description: A focused discussion on core socialization and communication deficits in autistic people, translating contemporary behavioral concepts into practical session tools. Drawing on ideas from workshops by Dr. Francesca Degli Espinosa and Tamara Kasper, the session examines how motivation, establishing operations, stimulus control, and contingency design affect early vocal behavior, joint attention, play, and conversational turn-taking. Participants will map deficits to teachable component skills, select high-yield targets (mands, tacts, imitation, intraverbals, social initiations), and design practice that preserves spontaneity while avoiding prompt dependency.

We are a non-public agency who has provided applied behavior analytic services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the home, school, and community setting since 2004.
